In case you missed it last July, here’s a brief wrap-up of this summer’s performance Shakespeare in the Park from the Arlington Center for the Arts: (Check out the photos after as well!)
The audience was beguiled by mischievous fairies and sprites on July 13th, 2014, at the Classic Repertory Company of New Reps’ production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This timeless Shakespeare play was presented outdoors at Menotomy Rocks Park, sponsored by the Arlington Center for the Arts through its two-night program, Shakespeare in the Park. The second production was a more humorous and condensed take on the bard’s works, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), presented by the Arlington Children’s Theatre on July 27th at the Arlington Center for the Arts on 41 Foster Street.
The Arlington Center for the Arts thanks both theater companies for putting on such fantastic productions. It has been an amazing summer at ACA, due in large part to our wonderful and successful Shakespeare productions. Thank you for attending and keep an eye out for more Shakespeare at ACA’s theater during the year.
ACA would also like to thank the people who make Shakespeare in the Park possible: Friends of Spy Pond Park, Friends of Menotomy Rocks Park and Friends of Robbins Farm Park and of course, the individuals who made generous donations.
